Brightspace Docent

What can I do under Content?

Aangepast op

In Brightspace you can structure your course under Content: Here you can create a welcoming page (Overview) and organise the course program in (sub)modules which you can fill with important information about the course such as: a course syllabus, media files and documents, links to web pages or Brightspace activities like discussions and quizzes for instance. By doing so, you can create a clear overview of the course and help students navigate easily through the course material.

Introduction - Teacher Instruction (EN) en nog 5 andere pagina's - Werk - Microsoft Edge

You create units at (1). Then, you can add several sources: existing sources/activities (2) or create new ones (3).

Beneath Add Existing you can choose between the next sources (1) and you can drag or upload sources (2):

Beneath Create New you can add a folder that is located beneath the unit (new course) or create other Brightspace activities and sources:

Welkom: introductie - Project 1: Web development en nog 5 andere pagina's - Werk - Microsoft Edge

Note that students see another page than teachers. They work from unit to unit and see inside that unit how far they've come with several sources and activities. The content menu looks like this for them:

Homepage - Project 1: Web development en nog 5 andere pagina's - Werk - Microsoft Edge

Being a teacher, you can always get a preview of the students' webpage. To do this, click your name and select View as Student.
