What are the text options in the HTML Editor?
You can add text to the HTML Editor by typing it directly into the editor, or copying and pasting it from another file. The Editor also offers a wide range of options to format the text. Many of these options are similar to those offered by other word processors, such as Word.
- If you copy text from Word into the HTML Editor, the layout and/or formatting of the text (e.g. font, font size, text color, etc.) will not be transferred. However, the structure for headings, bullets, and tables will be copied.
- On the top menu bar, from left to right you can:
- Choose the style of the text: (and) whether it concerns a heading or a paragraph;
- Make the text bold, italic, or underlined. Click on the arrow to use more options;
- Change the color of the text. In the window that opens, you will be able to see whether the selected color is legible for the visually impaired;
- Choose (and determine) the alignment of the text;
- Indent the text or create a list. Click on the arrow for more options;
- Add content, click 'Add Quick Link' and click 'Insert Image'. Detailed descriptions on these topics can be found in How do I add media to the Editor? and How do I add quicklinks to the Editor?;
